Art Nouveau Tourbillon Diamond Ring
This kind of ring is designated in French by the name 'Tourbillon' which translates in English to 'twirler' or 'twister', obvious because of its original design.
This is a wonderful example of the glistening craftsmanship from early 1900. It was made of 18ct yellow gold and platinum top. It has an old european cut diamond set in an open, eight-claw setting that sits nice and low to the finger. A total of sixteen rose cuts are set in the slim and tapering swirling platinum shoulders, leading to fine shank. A wondrous whirlwind of a ring.
