Georgian ca 1.00 Rose Cut Diamond Ring
This diamond ring dates to the late 18th century. Made in 14k lightly rose-tinted gold, this piece is gracefully composed with split shoulders adorned with scroll motifs and graduating rose cut diamonds. At the center sits an approximately 1.00 ct Dutch Rose Cut Diamond (8 x 6 mm). All stones are set in crimped silver settings with closed, foiled backs. This type of setting is a hallmark of Georgian jewelry: the foil was set behind the diamond to add light and sparkle to the stone. Rings in appearance like this are rarely seen offered for sale.
