The Immaculate Heart of Mary Pendant

A magnificent medallion, pendant with a relief image of The Immaculate Heart of Mary made in early 20th century. Masterfully handcrafted in 950 platinum and yellow gold. The Madonna is surrounded by decorative tricolour enamel made using the plique-a-jour technique. The enamel creates a miniature transparent stained-glass window. Set in the aureola on the sides and on the bail there is a great deal of diamonds in old cut, single cut and rough cuts with a total weight of ca 0.45 ct. 4 natutal Sapphires add a wonderful finnish on intercardinal points. Condition is excellent. A very rare piece of jewellery on the antiquarian market.
